Taxi drivers in Athens are staging a six-hour warning work stoppage (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.), following a decision by the Taxi Drivers’ Union of Attica (SATA).
During these hours, residents and visitors should be prepared for high levels of traffic as professional drivers will also hold a protest, and gather and march towards the Ministry of Transport in Athens.
Protest Against the New Traffic Code

The vehicle gathering is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Spyrou Patsi and Athinon Avenue.
The taxi drivers in Athens will then proceed in a march towards the Ministry of Transport, where a resolution outlining the industry’s demands will be submitted.
