The Greek Meteorological Services issued a severe weather bulletin warning of heavy rains and storms across most parts of the country from the late morning hours of Sunday (11-02-24) until Monday night (12-02-24).
According to the forecast, the intense phenomena starting from the northwest will gradually extend to the rest of the western regions, northeastern mainland, the islands of the eastern Aegean, and the Dodecanese, while temporarily affecting parts of the central country. Winds over the seas will intensify, reaching 7 to 8 and locally up to 9 Beaufort in the Aegean.
Heavy rains and storms are expected on Sunday starting in the northern Ionian and Epirus, while the weather phenomena will affect the southern Ionian, western Central Greece, eastern Macedonia, and Thrace later on Sunday before covering the western and possibly southern Peloponnese.
Stormy south winds will blow from the early morning hours of Sunday (11-02-24) in the Aegean with intensity of 7 to 8 and temporarily up to 9 Beaufort.
