Attiki Odos announced that it would be closing off sections of the motorway for eight hours starting at 10 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) through to 6 a.m. on Wednesday for maintenance works.
According to the announcement, the exit to Doukissis Plakentias (13) towards Elefsina will be shut down. Alternatively, drivers can continue towards Elefsina, take the Kifissias exit (11), and make a U-turn (toll free), then head towards the airport and towards Doukissis Plakentias exit via the Regional Hymettus Ring Road.
Additionally, entry (Exit 1) to Attiki Odos from Mandra towards Athens Airport-Markopoulo will also be closed.
Attiki Odos apologized for the disruptions and advises drivers to pay attention to signs and announcements and to respect speed limits in sections where heavy maintenance works are in progress.
