Turkish officials stated on Wednesday that a deadly attack occurred at the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) near the capital of Ankara. Local media outlets reported a loud explosion at the site and an exchange of gunfire.
Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, announced on X: “A terrorist attack targeted the TUSAS facilities in Kahramankazan, Ankara. Unfortunately, we have martyrs and injured.” He did not provide additional details regarding the incident at the aerospace company’s complex.

According to private Turkish broadcaster NTV, a group of attackers arrived at the entrance to the facility in a taxi during a security personnel shift change, and managed to infiltrate the complex. NTV also reported that at least one bomb was detonated and gunfire was ongoing at the site.
Helicopters, security forces, ambulances and firefighters were sent to the complex, the station added.
