The inauguration of the Pop-Up American Space at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium came last Sunday, welcoming fans, young and old, before the Greek Super League football match between Olympiacos Piraeus FC and AEK Athens.
Visitors to the space enjoyed the opportunity to play their favorite video games, experience the world of virtual reality, solve quizzes and surf the Internet via tablets or laptops provided free of charge.
Pop-Up American Space is an innovative initiative by the US embassy in Greece, Olympiacos FC and the Municipality of Piraeus that combines entertainment and technology, while at the same time promoting the values of sports. The space also offers information on educational opportunities in the United States.
The prominent corner of the Karaiskakis Stadium aspires to become a space of creativity and cultural and social activities for the youth of Piraeus and beyond.
