It looks like Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis was not the only one who welcomed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier today.
The Prime Minister’s dog, Peanut, made one of his guest appearances as the two leaders shook hands at the entrance of the Maximos Mansion in Athens.
PM Mitsotakis adopted Peanut after visiting an animal welfare center on the International Day of Stray Animals in April 2021.
Since then, Peanut has cemented his ‘vital’ role as part of the family, diligently performing his important duties as mascot of the Mansion.
Even though the Turkish President’s visit to Greece and his meeting with the Greek PM have been highly anticipated, it is undeniable that Peanut was the real star of the event!
