The ceremony at which the Olympic flame will be presented to the organizers of the Paris Olympics will take place in the stadium where the first modern Games were held back in 1896, and will be open to the public.

The torch relay, which has been organized by the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC), will cover a total of 5,202 kilometers, with the Olympic flame carried by 600 torch-bearers over 11 days to practically every corner of Greece, including seven islands.
