A new service for reporting incidents of minor delinquency in Greece or affecting juveniles, launched as part of the collaboration between the Ministries of Digital Governance and Citizen Protection, will be available via gov.gr as of Wednesday, Nov. 20.

This new service has been designed with the utmost consideration for the sensitivity required in issues involving minor delinquency in Greece. It allows users, both adults and minors, to report incidents of delinquent behavior involving minors, either as victims or perpetrators, easily and securely.

Citizens can access the service either directly through gov.gr, under the section “Citizen and Daily Life” and the subsection “Complaints”, or via a link available in the “Safe Youth” mobile application of the Ministry of Citizen Protection.

Step-by-Step Procedure:

Access without authentication: Users do not need to log in to use the service.
Declare age group: Users indicate whether they are minors or adults.
Provide contact details: They enter a mobile phone number or email address and confirm it via an OTP code.
Submit information: They complete relevant fields, sharing as much information as they feel comfortable with regarding the incident. This can include details such as time, method, frequency, and involved parties.

By using the service, users contribute to the investigation of these incidents by the competent Greek Juvenile Services Division.

It should also be noted that via the recently introduced initiative ‘Safe Youth’ application citizens have access to specially tailored informative material regarding the safety of children and adolescents, as well as an emergency button.
