The disappearance of a 65-year-old German tourist ended in tragedy when her body was discovered by a diver today off the coast of Crete.
The female had been reported missing by her husband since the night of Friday, in the southern region of Rethymnon, Crete, prompting an intensive search effort.
Furthermore, her husband reportedly told the police that he was unaware of his wife’s whereabouts, adding that there was a possibility she might have gone for a swim in the sea.
According to the Coast Guard, the woman’s lifeless body was located by a diver in the waters between Prasonisi islet and Triopetra, Crete.
Her remains have been transported to the port of Agia Galini on Crete, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
