A sixteen-year-old boy killed his father, 71, with a knife in the town of Kalyvia, southwest of Athens, Friday night, local media reported on Saturday. According to the reports, the 16-year-old got into an altercation with his father which resulted in the teen getting a knife and stabbing him fatally multiple times.
After killing his father the teen reportedly told his mother about the incident who in turn informed the police. According to information, the minor was allegedly constantly fighting with the victim, however, the exact reasons behind the stabbing have yet to be determined.
The teenager reportedly told the authorities that “everything happened in the heat of the moment.” Authorities said that it appeared from tests that the boy was not under the influence of any substances.
The police are investigating the reasons behind the fatal stabbing.
