One man died after the car he was driving plunged into the waters off the port of Pylos on Saturday, in southeast Greece.
According to initial reports from local media, the body of the victim, 37, a local man, was recovered by emergency crews. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital
The Coast Guard, the fire brigade and a volunteer diver took part in the initial rescue turned retrieval operation.
According to reports, the diver jumped into the water without diving gear as soon as he saw the car in the water.
An investigation is underway into the circumstances of the incident.
