Two passengers were injured on Sunday evening during their disembarkation from a ferry boat at the port of Santorini, in the latest incident involving a coastal shipping vessel amid the ongoing peak holiday season.
The vessel was identified as the Cypriot-flagged Champion Jet 1.
The coast guard headquarters on the popular south Aegean island later said a 35-year-old woman slipped as fell, resulting in a slight injury to her back, neck and left hand.
Another passenger, identified as a 53-year-man, in his attempt to assist her also fell, injuring his left leg.
Both individuals were transported to a local hospital.
Both the 32-year-0ld master of the vessel and his first mate, 37, were arrested by the coast guard on three violations of maritime regulations.
