According to a video shared on Facebook, the power cut left one of the rides immobilized, and the park’s backup generator reportedly failed to kick in, delaying the safe evacuation of the children. Fortunately, electricity was restored quickly, allowing the ride to resume operation and enabling the children to disembark safely and unharmed.
In a statement, a park representative clarified that the outage was caused by a grid failure from the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO) and not by any mechanical issue with the rides.
The amusement park also emphasized that no equipment malfunctions occurred during the incident, and all safety measures were promptly followed. The representative added that the park adhered to its safety protocols, including procedures for generator use, ensuring no risks to visitors.
