Temporary traffic regulations are schedule for January 6 due to events connected with the celebration of Epiphany.
The celebrations will be held a the Church of St. Dionysius the Areopagite and Dexamenis Square in the Municipality of Athens, as well as at the Church of St. Spyridon in Piraeus Port, on Monday.
These regulations include road closures and bans on parking and stopping. According to the General Police Directorate of Attica, the restrictions will apply to the following areas:

Road closures and parking bans will be in effect from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the following locations:
- Skoufa Street, between Omirou Street and Filikis Eterias Square.
- Dimokritou Street, between Solonos and Skoufa Streets.
- Lykavittou Street, its entire length.
- Glykonos Street, at Dexamenis Square.
- Fokilidou Street, between Glykonos and Pindarou Streets.
- Filikis Eterias Square, between Tsakalof and Skoufa Streets.
- Herodotou Street, between Patriarch Ioakeim Street and Dexamenis Square.
- Iraklitou Street, between Dexamenis Square and Skoufa Street.
- Patriarch Ioakeim Street, between Tsakalof and Herodotou Streets.
St. Spyridon, Piraeus Port
Road closures will apply from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and parking bans from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the following locations in Piraeus:
- Vas. Georgiou Street, between Iroon Polytechniou and Ethnikis Antistaseos Streets.
- Akti Miaouli, between Vas. Georgiou and 2nd Merarchias Streets, in both directions.
- Ethnikis Antistaseos Street, between Vas. Georgiou and Tsamadou Streets.
- Akti Poseidonos, between Aristeidou and Akti Miaouli Streets.
Drivers are advised to avoid driving or parking on the above streets and avenues during these hours and to follow the instructions of traffic officers located in the area in order to avoid disrupting the event and inconveniences.
Changes to Tram Services
On Monday, January 6, 2025, tram Line 7 (Asklepieio Voulas – Ag. Triada Piraeus) will be affected by traffic adjustments due to the ceremonial diving of the Holy Cross in Piraeus.
According to the tram operator STASY, from the start of operations until 1:00 PM, Line 7 will have a temporary terminal at the SEF stop, running the route Asklepieio Voulas – SEF – Asklepieio Voulas.
