In a rare daytime operation, Israel rescued four hostages from Gaza on Saturday morning, according to announcements by Israeli authorities and widespread media reports.
The hostages were among the many that were violently kidnapped by Hamas from a musical festival in Israel on October 7, 2023.
The Hamas-led raid triggered what has now been 8 months of military action and widespread bloodshed in Gaza and other regions.
The Wall Street Journal says that the hostages were located in separate locations in central Nuseirat in Gaza and that one of the rescued hostages is Noa Argamani, a female who’s kidnapping has been widely circulated on social media.
