Israel Rescues 4 Hostages in Gaza

The rescue operation exceptionally took place during the day and all hostages are reportedly in good health

In a rare daytime operation, Israel rescued four hostages from Gaza on Saturday morning, according to announcements by Israeli authorities and widespread media reports.

The hostages were among the many that were violently kidnapped by Hamas from a musical festival in Israel on October 7, 2023.

The Hamas-led raid triggered what has now been 8 months of military action and widespread bloodshed in Gaza and other regions.

The Wall Street Journal says that the hostages were located in separate locations in central Nuseirat in Gaza and that one of the rescued hostages is Noa Argamani, a female who’s kidnapping has been widely circulated on social media.

Israel reports that the four rescued hostages are in good medical condition and have been transferred to Sheba Medical Center for evaluation.

Wall Street Journal says that the rescue operation brings the total number of hostages rescued alive since October 7 to just seven persons.

The other hostages rescued today are: Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv.
