This transaction marks the latest investment by Macquarie Asset Management in the Greek energy market, following its acquisition of a 49 percent stake in Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator in 2022.

The planned wind park, which will be located in the sea area off Alexandroupolis, is set to become a permanent installation. The Hellenic Hydrocarbons and Energy Resources Management Company (HEREMA S.A.) has already issued an exploration license for the marine area south of the Evros Regional Unit coastline and north-northeast of Samothrace. This area is designated for the development of pilot Hydrogen-Producing and Energy Projects (HPEP) with a total capacity of up to 600 MW, aligning with the National Offshore Wind Development Program.

A report by the National Public Health Organization (NPHO) cited an increase in related hospital admissions by 37%, compared with the corresponding week of 2022.

EL.STAT recorded 10,413,982 residents in the country as of Jan. 1, 2023, down from 10,461,627 a year earlier. As with similar such figures, the number of women was higher than men, from 5,323,391 to 5,090,591.
