The central demand of the Tempi Victims’ Relatives Association 2023, spearheaded by Maria Karystianou, the mother of a Tempi victim, is for justice and accountability. Two years after the accident and following the release of a 176-page investigation report on Thursday indicating government neglect, and amid allegations government coverups, justice still hasn’t been served.
Approximately 6,000 police officers will be deployed in Athens for Friday’s protest and national strike actions.
