Hellenic Post (ELTA), Greece’s state-owned postal services provider, is planning to replace postage stamps with new labels similar to the US postal service’s “Click-N-Ship” stickers.

The new labels will incorporate multiple elements to facilitate parcel movement, with the item’s tracking barcode for easy track-and-trace searches, data regarding the services the customer has selected, and information necessary for the item’s delivery in addition to the postage fees.

The change, which will mark the end of an era, is part of an overall ELTA initiative to upgrade and modernize its services.

A transition period in which stamps will still be accepted will end on June 30, 2024.
