The Greek Tax Office, specifically the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR), announced today it notified over 150,000 registered one-person businesses that they would be required to issue and submit digital transit documents for all transactions to the myDATA platform.
More specifically, businesses obligated to keep digital transit documents include those with a turnover exceeding 200,000 euros operating in the following sectors:
energy (fuel), pharmaceutical products and health care supplies, construction, and production and trade of olive-based products.
The relevant announcement by the Greek Tax Office said those failing to comply would face fines ranging from 500 euros to 1,000 euros per audit, depending on the type of bookkeeping transit invoices businesses had in paper form.
