The Greek police have traced the route taken by assailants in the shocking attack of two volunteers participating in a forest clean-up on Parnitha to a dwelling northwest of Athens, and are close to determining those involved, according to reports at MEGA TV.

Early last Saturday morning, May 25, two men aged 33 and 32 were camping overnight on Parnitha mountain on the outskirts of Athens as part of a forest clean-up by the citizens’ service organization Saveyourhood.gr when they were attacked, beat, and one was stabbed multiple times by 7 unknown assailants.

The attackers themselves said they were from an area northwest of Athens in the working suburb of Menidi which, according to MEGA TV, has been verified by the Greek Police.

A representative of the police informed MEGA TV that they now know the building that the attackers live in, which is occupied by a number of persons, and are trying to determine which 7 participated in the violent attack.

Following the Parnitha attack last Saturday, the victims were hospitalized but are now out of danger.
