Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Thursday evening expressed his devastation, as he underlined, over the deadly shooting spree that took place hours earlier in Prague’s historic city center.
Taking to social media, Mitsotakis stated: “Devastated by the news of the atrocious attack in Prague. On behalf of the Greek people, I extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, and our wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured. Our thoughts are with the people of Czechia.”
A gunman shot dead 14 people and injured another 25 at the renowned Charles University in Prague, authorities there announced, in the deadliest attack in modern Czech history.
On its part, the Greek foreign affairs ministry issued condolences to the families of the victims, the injured and to the Czech people.
“Deeply saddened by the deadly attack today at Prague University. Our most sincere condolences to the families of the victims. We wish a swift recovery to the injured,” the official message stressed.
