Another Greek-owned vessel sailing in the Gulf of Aden was attacked by rebel Houthi forces on Tuesday, with the crew reporting little or no damage and, thankfully, no injuries.
The vessel was identified as the Marshall Islands-flagged Star Nasia, a bulk carrier.
The vessel issued a “may day” signal following the attack, which according to the maritime risk firm Ambrey came as it sailed some 53 nautical miles southwest of Aden and heading south into the Indian Ocean.
The same source said the vessel was destined for India after departing the United States. An explosion came within 50 meters of its starboard side.
A cargo ship in the Red Sea suffered minor damage after being hit by a projectile while sailing off the coast of Yemen’s Hodeidah, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency and British maritime security firm Ambrey said https://t.co/rEdGtM6dVa
