On Sunday, local media and social media users on the island of Crete reported a flash flood in the island’s region of Paliokastro, outside of Herkalion, which damaged property and local infrastructure. More rain is expected today in several regions of Greece, although overall conditions are expected to be milder.

On Monday, the weather will start off clear, with only light local showers expected in the Dodecanese, says MEGA TV.

Across the rest of the country, scattered clouds will develop as we approach midday, which will become denser in the mountainous mainland areas.

In Thessaloniki, temporary clouds are expected around midday, particularly in the surrounding mountains, where local showers and thunderstorms may occur until the afternoon. Temperatures will reach up to 33°C, with variable light winds at 2-4 Beaufort in the Thermaic Gulf.
