Ferries from Piraeus to Cyclades Remain at Dock on High Winds

The restriction is for ferries heading to the Cyclades and is at least for this morning due to winds ranging from 8-10 beaufort in the Aegean

Ferries scheduled to depart from the port of Piraeus and head to the Cyclades islands will remain at dock, at least during the morning hours today, on account of high winds across the Aegean. The winds will range from 8-9 Beaufort, and in some cases as high as 10 Beaufort.

As a result, ferry trips to the Cyclades will not take place until further notice.

Restrictions are also in place for the port of Rafina and Lavrio and reports at In.gr note that ferries to and from the Argosaronico region are only allowed if they are in closed ferries.

Any persons scheduled to travel by ferry today are advised to contact their travel agent and or the local port authority.
