Fair weather is forecasted to kick off the week, with plenty of sunshine and occasional scattered clouds. Some denser cloudiness is expected in western and northern mainland areas however.  Light, localized showers may occur in the northern coast of Crete and the Dodecanese in the morning, but these will quickly subside.
Temperatures will reach 14–16 degrees Celsius in northern Greece, 18–20 degrees in the western, central, and southern mainland, 18–20 degrees in the Aegean and up to 21 degrees in Crete.

Winds in the Ionian Sea will blow from the north at 2–4 Beaufort, becoming variable by night. In the Aegean, winds will be westerly and northerly at 2–4 Beaufort, reaching up to 5 Beaufort in the south, but weakening by the evening.

In Athens, clear skies with plenty of sunshine and light clouds are expected. Temperatures will range from 9 to 19 degrees Celsius, with northwest winds at 3–4 Beaufort, becoming light and variable in the afternoon.

Similar weather in Thessaloniki, with locally increased clouds in the evening. Temperatures will range from 8 to 16 degrees, with north winds in the Thermaic Gulf blowing at 2–3 Beaufort.

Weather forecast for the week ahead

Local showers are expected in western Greece, the Peloponnese, and Crete on Tuesday. By the evening, rain will intensify in the west, and thunderstorms are likely expected in the northern Ionian Sea. Temperatures will slightly rise, reaching 16 degrees in the north and central regions and 18–20 degrees in the south and west. Winds will remain mild, at 3–4 Beaufort from the north in the seas, shifting to southerly by night.

On Wednesday, rain is expected to start in the west, spreading to Thrace and the islands of the eastern Aegean by midday. The rest of the country will likely experience temporarily increased cloudiness. Temperatures will see a slight rise, reaching 19–20 degrees in the mainland by midday and up to 21 degrees in the southern Aegean. Winds in the seas will shift to southerly, strengthening to 6–7 Beaufort.
