Elon Musk reposted a question-cum poll by Cypriot MEP Fidias Panayiotou on X, in which the young social media influencer asks followers to decide whether he should vote for or against Ursula Von der Leyen in her bid for re-election as president of the European Commission.

“Through me no you have a voice for the future of Europe,” he mentions in his video.

The 24-year-old YouTuber emerged on the European political scene by surprise after he took a large chunk of the vote in his island country’s European Parliament election last month, despite having no political experience. Running as an independent, he secured 19.4% and 71,330 votes, which earned him a seat in the 720-member European Parliament.
