According to meteorologists, if the polar air mass passes through the country, Greece should expect very cold weather and snow at low altitudes. If it it remains north of Greece, south winds, rain, and African dust are forecasted. Either phenomena are expected to start in the west from midday on Monday.
There is also a chance, experts warn, of colder temperatures make a comeback mid-March.
As far as the weather forecast for early tomorrow is concerned, clouds and showers are expected in the morning in central and eastern Macedonia, Thrace, the eastern Aegean, and the Dodecanese, while the rest of the country will be cloudy. Visibility will also be limited.
From noon on, cloudiness will increase, while rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in the Ionian, the western mainland and northern regions.
Winds will blow south at 4 to 6 points on the Beaufort scale and up to 7 Beaufort in the seas.
Temperatures will reach 14 to 16 degrees Celsius in the northern mainland and 18 to 20 degrees Celsius in the rest of the country.
