Banking transactions will undergo adjustments as special bank holidays for interbank transactions are slated from Friday, March 29, 2024, to Monday, April 1, 2024, coinciding with Good Friday and Easter Monday for Catholics.
During these special holiday days, transactions conducted at financial institutions will be logged in the systems with the date of April 2, 2024, marking the subsequent business day.
Moreover, payments for immediate settlement of third-party bills initiated from Friday, March 29, to Monday, April 1, 2024, will be processed with a value date of Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Despite these changes, bank branches in Greece will maintain regular operating hours.
In terms of financial obligations, those expiring on March 29 must be settled by March 28. Deposits made after March 28 will reflect in records starting from April 2. These alterations extend to payroll as well.
Furthermore, there’s an extension for payment obligations by EFKA, with the deadline moved to Tuesday, April 2, instead of Friday, March 29.
