Baltimore Bridge in USA Collapses, Rescue Efforts Underway (vid)

The bridge was struck by a container ship and videos show at least a dozen cars falling into the water during the collapse

Widespread media reports say that the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, USA was struck by a large container ship and has collapsed. Rescue efforts are currently underway and an unknown number of persons are missing.

The bridge crosses the Patapsco River and a ‘Mass Casualty Incident” has been declared by officials. The video shows that over a dozen cars were on the bridge at the time of its collapse.

The collapse was called into the US’s rescue line “911” at approximately 1:30am eastern standard time. Divers have been sent into the water along with remotely operated vehicles. The situation is still developing.
