A series of traffic regulations/detours on the Attiki Odos motorway in the wider Athens region will take effect starting from 10 pm on Monday, September 9, 2024, until tomorrow, 6 am, Tuesday, September 10, due to heavy maintenance roadworks underway.
Accordingly, the following routes/intersections will remain closed during the period:
The entrance to the motorway from Plapouta Ave. towards the Airport/Markopoulo will remain closed from 22:00 on Monday, 09/09/2024, until 06:00 on Tuesday, 10/09/2024.
Drivers can follow the detour signs to head towards Kymis Ave. in the direction of the Olympic Stadium using the left lane.
The entrance from Kymis Ave. towards the Airport/Markopoulo will also remain closed from 22:00 on Monday, 09/09/2024, until 06:00 on Tuesday, 10/09/2024.
Drivers can continue on the left lane of Kymis Ave. towards Irakleio. They can then enter Attiki Odos in the direction of Elefsina, and at the next junction at Irakleio Ave. (Junction 9), make a U-turn (without paying tolls again) and head towards the Airport/Markopoulo.
The exit from the motorway to Marathonos Ave. (Junction 15) in the direction of the Airport/Markopoulo will remain closed from 22:00 on Monday, 09/09/2024, until 06:00 on Tuesday, 10/09/2024.
