Athens’ mass public transportation system will be operating with a modified schedule this week, and the metro, tram, buses and trolleys will be impacted. The metro will conclude operations earlier and buses and trolleys will continue operating on their ‘holiday schedule’.
Specifically, the schedule is as follows:
Metro Line 1
- Friday 2 January 2024: timetables every 7.5 minutes between 5:30-22:30, between 11.5-15 minutes at other times
- Wednesday 3 January to Friday 5 January 2024: timetables every 6′ between 7:00-10:00, 15:00-18:00, every 7.5′ at other times between 5:30-22:30, between 11.5′-15′ at other times
- Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 January 2024: Routes every 10.5 minutes between 5:30 and 23:30, every 15 minutes at other times.
Metro Line 2
- Tuesday 2 January 2024: timetable every 7 minutes between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 10 minutes at other times
- Wednesday 3 January to Friday 5 January 2024: every 4.5 minutes between 7:30-11:00 and 13:30-17:30, every 5 minutes at other times between 6:00-20:30, every 7 minutes between 20:30-22:00, every 10 minutes at other times
- Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 January 2024: timetables every 10 minutes
Metro Line 3
- Tuesday 2 January 2024: timetable every 7 minutes between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 9 minutes at other times
- Wednesday 3 January to Friday 5 January 2024: every 5′ between 6:00-17:30, every 6′ between 17:30-20:00, every 7′ between 20:00-22:00, every 9′ at all other times
Tram
- Tuesday 2 January to Friday 5 January 2024: every 12 minutes until 22:00, every 15 minutes between 22:00-23:00
- Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 January 2024: every 15 minutes from Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 January 2024: every 15 minutes
