Arsonists Set Fire to 2 Cars and Motorcycle in Athens

Firefighters were called to the scene in the early hours of Monday, which also damaged the entrance of a nearby apartment building

Firefighters were called to extinguish two cars and a motorcycle that had been engulfed by a fire set by arsonists in an area northwest of Athens called Agioi Anargyroi.

The call came in in the early morning hours of Monday and firefighters rushed to the scene to contain the blaze from impacting other cars and possibly nearby houses, in the densely populated area.

According to reports at ERT, arsonists, who remain unknown, doused a car and motorcycle with a flammable liquid and they were subsequently completely destroyed.

A nearby vehicle was also damaged along with the entrance of an apartment building next to the blaze.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
