The announcement in full: “The management of Alter Ego Media welcomes George Saliaris-Fasseas, the Group’s new General Director of Strategy, Technology and Development.

George Saliaris-Fasseas read Management Sciences at the University of Warwick and went on to study for his MSc in the Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems (ADMIS) at the London School of Economics (LSE).

A market insider, he has extensive experience in interactive communication and online advertising. In 2000, he founded his own digital marketing company, yellownetroad, a precursor to the award-winning OgilvyOne, whose CEO he was.

Having been the first person to serve as a Country Manager for the tech giant Google in Greece, he returned to the Bold Ogilvy Group as its General Manager. Subsequently, George Saliaris-Fasseas undertook the duties of President of IPG Mediabrands, in which post he was responsible for five countries (Greece, Turkey, Austria, Switzerland and Portugal).

For the last four years, he has been an Operating Partner at Big Pi Ventures. A Greek venture capital fund, Big Pi Ventures manages 95 million Euro of capital and has invested in 24 tech companies to date (including TileDB, Orfium and Intelligencia).”
