An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded near the island of Amorgos in the Cyclades on Wednesday morning.
Based on the data from the Geodynamic Institute of Athens, the epicenter of the tremor was pinpointed 12km southwest of the area of Arkesini at a depth of 11.5km.
Yesterday, at 6:46 a.m., a 5.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded with an epicenter 17 km south-southeast of Arkesini, Amorgos. According to the automatic solution of the Geodynamic Institute, the quake had a focal depth of 13.6 km.
A little later, at 8:08 a.m. on Tuesday, another earthquake was recorded, this time with an epicenter 27 km south-southwest of Arkesini, Amorgos. The Geodynamic Institute reported that this tremor had a focal depth of 5 km.
