In a recent resolution to a protracted diplomatic saga, Turkey has agreed to acquire F-16s, while Sweden is set to join NATO and Greece will receive F-35s. To Vima spoke with Henri J. Barkey, an adjunct senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, to assess the implications of this complex deal.
Regarding Turkish aggression in the Aegean, he stated, "The (US) government informed me that it continues to closely monitor this issue to encourage ongoing dialogue between Greece and Turkey."
