A report on global air quality by Swiss technology company IQAir reveals that Greece is ranked 50th globally in terms of air quality.

As part of its 6th Annual World Air Quality Report, IQAir ranked 134 countries against the World Health Organization’s (WHO) air quality guidance of PM 2.5 and found that just seven are below the limit.

The ranking is built off of 30,000 air quality monitoring stations in 7,812 locations, according to IQAir.

The air quality monitors in Greece show that PM levels in most of the country exceed the WHO’s recommended values by 2 to 5 times.

The seven countries meeting the WHO guideline are Australia, Estonia, Finland, Grenada, Iceland, Mauritius, and New Zealand.

Meanwhile the most polluted countries are: Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Tajikistan and Burkina Faso.
