UK’s Likely Next PM Keir Starmer Thanks Supporters on X

In what has quickly been hailed as a landslide victory for the Labour Party in the U.K., the country's soon-to-be-PM Keir Starmer has started thanking supporters on X

With exit polls in the United Kingdom’s snap elections closed and figures anticipating a landslide victory for the Labour Party, the likely next Prime Minister of the U.K. Keir Starmer has already turned to X to thank supporters.

While the official results of the election have not yet been announced, polls are traditionally accurate to within a range of 1.5 to 7.5 seats, says the BBC.

And the exit polls show the Labour Party sweeping the British Parliament with 410 seats for the Labour Party and just 131 seats for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Conservative party.

Sir Keir Rodney Starmer KCB, KC is a British politician and barrister who has served as Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Labour Party since 2020.
