In the his weekly review post on Facebook, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reaffirmed his faith in the justice system to hold those responsible for the Tempi train crash accountable.
He emphasized that “no shadow should remain cast that poisons the public life and trust in our institutions.”
He also mentioned actions the government is currently taking on matters of security, the safeguarding of income against inflation and rising prices, health, and employment.
He stressed that “the State cannot and will not allow the revival of terrorism attempted by some” and that strengthening the sense of security is a “government priority”, referencing the hiring of new people to the police force for the first time in 14 years.
He also referred to the digitalization of many judicial and penal processes that will decrease bureaucracy, speed up the processes within the justice system and increase citizens’ data protection.
Finally, PM Mitsotakis addressed the issue of soaring prices in the country, citing encouraging initiatives to reduce prices in over 4,000 products.
