Greece’s Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is set to attend and deliver a speech to an event hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presenting the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan for the Greek Diaspora, at noon on Wednesday.

The event will be held in the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ underground amphitheater “Giannos Kranidiotis”.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the Greek prime minister met with the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa, His Beatitude Theodore II, at the Maximos Mansion, in Athens.

The focus of their meeting included an in-depth discussion on issues concerning the historic Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and the challenges it faces within its jurisdiction.

Both men emphasized the crucial role of the Patriarchate in supporting Hellenism and Orthodoxy throughout Africa.

Furthermore, the prime minister reaffirmed his government’s unwavering support for the mission and efforts of the Patriarchate in Africa.
