Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcome a group of Republican Senators at his house in the Cretan city of Chania for a work breakfast on Saturday.

The Greek PM was accompanied by Defense Minister, Nikos Dendias, while the American guests included Senators Jerry Moran, Susan Collins, John Boozman, John Cornyn, John Hoeven, who are members of the Senate Committees on Appropriations, Intelligence, and Energy, and the U.S. Ambassador to Athens, George Tsunis.

Topics discussed included the excellent level of Greek-American relations, as well as cooperation between the two countries on defense and Greece’s role as a pillar of stability and security in the broader region. PM Mitsotakis also emphasized Greece’s initiatives and its role in the development of the Vertical Corridor and Europe’s energy security.
