Another 11 Greek nationals were successfully evacuated from Lebanon on Saturday, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on a post on X.
The post, in Greek, wrote: “With the assistance of the Greek and Cypriot Embassies in Beirut, 11 Greek citizens and their family members arrived via a charter flight from the Republic of Cyprus in Larnaca.”
Shortly after an update to the previous post announced that “With the support of our Embassy in Nicosia and under the coordination of the Crisis Management Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, six of [the 11 Greeks] were repatriated to Greece today. We extend our gratitude to the Republic of Cyprus for their solidarity and swift response.”
It is reminded that on Thursday, twenty-two Greeks were evacuated from the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, as well as 38 Cypriot nationals, after a C-130 military aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force took off from Greece and completed the mission.
