According to public broadcaster ERT, the plane was spotted by a group of three individuals who started planning their operation to search for the missing aircraft after hearing about the WW2 plane.

• DBRS Morningstar’s ‘Vote’ of Confidence for Greek Banks

International rating agency DBRS Morningstar gave a vote of confidence for Greek banks in its latest report, highlighting that the better-than-expected results of the first half of the year create better prospects for the whole of 2024.

• Pet Registration Data Goes Digital in Greece

Pet owners can now have immediate access to important information concerning their pets through Greece’s Gov.gr Wallet mobile application, which allows users to create, save and check relevant digital documents, the Digital Governance Ministry announced this week.

• Greece Arrests More Arson Suspects

Greek Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Minister Vassilis Kikilias announced this week that police had arrested several people suspected for arson. As part of efforts to crack down on arson attacks, the minister went on to add that new legislation foresees sentences of up to 10 years for arson by negligence and 20 years for arson with intent.

• Miltos Tentoglou Again Picks Up Olympic Gold in Long Jump

Greece’s Miltos Tentoglou doubled his Olympic gold medals in the long jump on Tuesday evening at Paris’ Stade de France, with a jump of 8.48 meters in his second try – a performance good enough for first place. The Greek champion won the gold in the same event during in 2021 during the 2020 Tokyo Games
