The two medals bring Greece’s tally at the Olympic Games to a total of 4, after Tselidis won a bronze in Judo and Christou picked up a silver in swimming.


A report into the case was submitted by her deputy, Achilleas Zisis, this past week. The highlight of the report, as conveyed by the high court prosecutor, claims that no evidence emerged from the high-level judicial probe to connect the use of the notorious spyware Predator with Greece’s national intelligence agency (EYP). Adelini had ordered a preliminary and urgent judicial probe into the very prominent case.


The study asked respondents to rate their satisfaction on a scale from 0 (not at all satisfied) to 10 (completely satisfied). The EU average level of satisfaction was 7.8 in 2022, a slight decline from 7.9 in 2018.


Special task forces have carried out over 5,000 inspections nationwide of more than 1,100 businesses so far. Over the past week authorities in collaboration with the Hellenic Police and local municipalities targeted over 290 businesses.


In a provocative move, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced he would attend a memorial service at the Hagia Sophia – a UNESCO museum and ex-Orthodox Church converted to a Mosque in 2020 – for Hamas’s political leader, Ismail Haniyeh who was killed in Tehran by an Israeli strike on Wednesday.
