As reported, Mitsotakis is expected to announce his choice of candidate for the country’s upcoming presidential elections.
The prime minister’s scheduled meeting with the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, which was to take place on Wednesday, Jan. 15 has been postponed for the coming days.
The PM announced Kostas Tasoulas as his pick for the next President, saying that the challenging international environment calls for a president with extensive public service experience.
