Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be received by President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou on Wednesday, part of regular contacts between the head of state and head of government at the presidential mansion.
The Greek Prime Minister is also due to give an interview on a news website’s streaming service later in the evening.
The meeting comes ahead of this month’s trip by the Greek premier to the neighboring country and talks with Turkish leadership, including with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Next month also has European parliament elections scheduled, meaning that the east Mediterranean country is essentially in a pre-election campaign season.
