The Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed a festive gathering including the Hellenic Women’s Lyceum, the Greek Scouts, and the Music School of Ptolemaida at the Maximos Mansion, on Christmas Eve, who performed the traditional Christmas carols.

The prime minister was accompanied by his wife Mareva and their three children Sophia, Konstantinos, and Daphne, this morning, who enjoyed the traditional Greek carols with him.

Meanwhile, at the Presidential Palace, the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, also heard the sounds of the season, as the Christmas carols were performed by the Presidential Guard accompanied by the Armed Forces Band.

The President of the main opposition party of PASOK – Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, received the children of the Association of People with Disabilities “Niki – Victor Artant” who beautifully sang Christmas carols to him.

Androulakis expressed his gratitude towards the children stating “We are especially honored by your presence today; these are some of the most beautiful carols we have ever heard.”

He also emphasized the importance of building a more inclusive society, with a focus on improving special education, an area in which Greece lags behind other European nations.
