Greece to Send Humanitarian aid to Gaza

Greece is in communication with France, Cyprus regarding humanitarian aid

Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis said Hellenic Air Force C-130 transport planes carrying humanitarian aid for Gaza will land at an Egyptian airport on Monday. The aid is described as medical supplies, food and water.

Speaking in Parliament on Friday, Gerapetritis said Athens is cooperating with Cyprus and France on the mission, which presents major challenges. He added that he’s been in constant contact with counterparts from the Arab world, especially Jordan, while maintaining that Greece’s stance remains humanitarian.

The announcement comes a day after Health Minister Michalis Chrysohoidis said there should be both humanitarian corridors and humanitarian pauses in the conflict.
