Ruling New Democracy (ND) party continues to field a nearly double-digit percentage point lead over its nearest rival, while the anti-establishment Plefsi Eleftherias (Course of Freedom) party, founded and led by former Parliament president Zoe Konstantopoulou, appears to have established itself in second place.

According to the opinion poll presented by the Parapolitika radio station conducted by the GPO firm, ND is given 23.3% of respondents’ preference on the question of voter preference, while the Plefsi party has reached 13.4%, overtaking PASOK in second place, at least in this poll.

In terms of the other parties, PASOK party continues to lose strength, polling 12.8%, while SYRIZA remains stuck in “single-digit territory”, with 5.7%.

Conversely, the right-of-center Elliniki Lysi (Greek Solution) party appears nearing the double-digit mark and rising, favored by 9.7% of respondents. The Communist Party (KKE) followed with 8.5%. Finally, 10.5% of respondents said they were undecided.

In an unrelated question to parties, a majority of respondents, 54.5%, are negatively disposed over a return of former leftist prime minister Alexis Tsipras to a leadership position.
