Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Gerapetritis travelled to Luxembourg on Sunday in order to attend today’s Foreign Affairs Council, chaired by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Josep Borrell.

The Council is scheduled to commence at 8:30 am with its agenda including discussions on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, following an informal exchange of views with Ukraine’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba and Minister for Defense Rustem Umerov via video teleconference.
Additionally, discussions on the current situation in the Middle East, including developments on the ground and in the wider region, are expected to follow.
Finally, the Council will address views on the latest developments in Sudan in the presence of the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for Sudan, Ramtane Lamamra.
Later today, Minister Gerapetritis is scheduled to attend the EU- Gulf Cooperation Council High Level Forum.
