Greek Americans for Trump, a Hellenic diaspora organization, has expressed its strong support for President-elect Donald J. Trump’s decision to nominate Kimberly Guilfoyle as the next U.S. Ambassador to Greece.
The group has committed to rallying support for Ms. Guilfoyle’s confirmation in the Senate by engaging the Greek-American community, diaspora organizations, and religious leaders to advocate for her appointment.
“Kimberly Guilfoyle is a powerhouse leader and the perfect choice for this role,” said Christos Marafatsos, the organization’s president. “We are fully committed to ensuring her confirmation and know she will strengthen the U.S.-Greece alliance like never before.”
The group also credited President Trump’s leadership with bolstering U.S.-Greece relations in recent years and expressed optimism about Ms. Guilfoyle’s ability to continue advancing this progress.
“Her experience in law, media, and politics makes her uniquely qualified to represent America and advance our interests abroad,” a statement from Greek Americans for Trump noted.
Founded in 2016, Greek Americans for Trump has focused on fostering Hellenic diaspora engagement on issues such as U.S.-Greece relations, religious freedom, economic development, and cultural preservation.
The organization’s events are co-chaired by Rep. Gus Bilirakis, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, and Mr. Marafatsos, reflecting its deep ties to the Greek-American community and its ambition to influence U.S. policy toward Greece.
